H I S T O R Y

Born and raised in Los Angeles, the middle child of three siblings, Erika grew up pretty independently. Her father worked 12 hours a day to support the family after her mother died when Erika was 7, and with one older and one younger brother, it ended up on Erika to cook from she turned 12, sick of take out and snack food. The rest of the family were ecstatic.

Erika attended public junior high with her brothers; John one year her senior, Lawrence two years her junior, and was accepted at the same high school as John, keeping average grades. Enough to make her pass, not bad enough to have to be called into the councilor office more than every six months.

She was always just that; average, nothing special. She was somewhat of a late bloomer compared to the rest of the girls in her homeroom, but was in no way teased about it, she was too approachable for that. The only thing that was ever remotely odd about her was that she seemed to be multilingual, yet nobody could understand how on earth that worked out; did she have the time to study languages when she was working as a waitress, doing housework and homework? Effectively speaking Spanish, English, French and German, she was always the first person to welcome new transfer or exchange students, the school simply finding it to be the most cost-effective solution.

Ever since Erika was little, she has been afraid of getting to near any kind of animal, her first incident of bumping into a dog when she was seven and 'hearing' it complain about it's collar and leash in her head. She kept shy of dogs as well as any other kind of household pet after that.

P E R S O N A L I T Y

Erika is cheerful and spirited, she has a very upbeat view of life and doesn't like to frown, it seems almost a waste of time to her. Even if she doesn't get to see her father a lot, even if she could be there more for her brothers, even if she could get better grades in school, she'd rather just not think about it and instead do her best at what she can do.

She's a somewhat naive creature and isn't very quick on the uptake, but doesn't let it get her down. Most of the time.

A P P E A R A N C E

Short for her age, Erika has black/dark blue hair that reaches somewhere past her waist. She dresses in skirts a lot, and can be seen with aprons more often than not, even sometimes going so far as to forget to remove them when going on, which she is thoroughly embarrassed about later, of course.

She smiles a lot, but is typically the small girl that needs to be protected, or so people see her; she'll actually chastise with a frown should someone she knows do something unsavoury or socially frowned upon normally.
